Here words are sharper than swords and wit reigns supreme. Master Debaters is a celebration of the art of argument. Here, we champion the power of critical thinking, the beauty of well-constructed ideas, and the thrill of engaging in thought-provoking discussions.
Our mission is to challenge conventional wisdom, broaden perspectives, and sharpen our minds through lively and respectful debates.
Whether you're a seasoned orator or simply curious about exploring the world of debate, this club is your platform to grow, learn, and share. Together, we will tackle fascinating topics, embrace diverse viewpoints, and perhaps learn something new.
Debate structure -
Two teams of three participants each.
- Opening Speakers: 4 minutes per speaker to set the stage and present arguments.
- Rebuttal Speakers: 4 minutes per speaker to dismantle opposing points and strengthen their team’s case.
- Final Speakers: 5 minutes per speaker to deliver impactful conclusions and lasting impressions.
Each team will have 20 minutes to prepare their arguments before stepping into the spotlight. Once the clock starts, it’s off to the races!
Speakers will be evaluated on their performance, and constructive feedback will be provided at the end of each debate. This ensures that every participant leaves not only with sharpened skills but also with valuable insights to refine their craft.
