ES: MATES DAY TRIP es una experiencia de un día social, cultural y culinaria donde explorarás la belleza de la cultura y la naturaleza mexicanas en grupos pequeños. Este mes descubriremos una de las maravillas estacionales más impresionantes de las montañas cercanas. A mitad de camino a Puebla, junto a los volcanes Iztaccíhuatl y Popocatépetl, visitaremos el santuario de luciérnagas Canto del Bosque para vivir cómo estos pequeños insectos buscan pareja iluminando la noche del bosque.
En el trayecto haremos una parada en el Molino de las Flores, una antigua hacienda que durante años produjo pulque y funcionó como puesto comercial al oriente de la Ciudad de México. Dependiendo del clima, también realizaremos una breve caminata por las montañas para disfrutar del hermoso Parque Nacional Popo-Izta. 🪅🥾🍽️🍰☕
EN: MATES DAY TRIP is a social, cultural and culinary day trip experience where you’ll explore the beauty of Mexican culture and nature in small groups. This month we will explore one of the greatest seasonal wonders happening in the nearby mountains. Halfway to Puebla, next to the volcanoes Iztaccihuatl and Popocatepetl we will visit the firefly sanctuary Canto del Bosque to experience these small insects looking for partners while lightening up the night in the forests.
On the way there we will make a stop at Molino de las Flores, an old hacienda that served for many years to produce Pulque and as a trading post in the east of Mexico City. Depending on the weather we will also do a small hike around the mountains to enjoy the beautiful Popo-Izta National Park.
