Mathematics and its History - Summer Textbook Discussion Series - Geometry

We will be talking about the following chapters of Mathematics and its History by John Stillwell (3rd ed):

1. 7/2 - Ch. 2 Greek Geometry
2. 7/9 - Ch. 7 Analytic Geometry
3. 7/16 - Ch. 8 Projective Geometry
4. 7/23 - Ch. 17 Differential Geometry
5. 7/30 - Ch. 18 Non-Euclidean Geometry

This will include discussing problems. Please read the chapter and try the problems that interest you prior to the event.

The book is written at an undergraduate level, but if you are interested, no matter the level, please try reading the chapter before deciding it’s too difficult. Stillwell is an excellent writer, and this book is much more accessible than a normal math textbook.
