The Enjoyment of Mathematics, March Madness 2026
Details
The topic will be the enjoyment of mathematics. I want to pause long excursions into a single book, and hold events where anyone can join in, without having to read many previous chapters.
Any of the 3-4 page independent chapters of "The Enjoyment of Mathematics" by Hans Rademacher and Otto Toeplitz.
Each chapter is an apparently simple problem whose solution can lead towards deep places in Abstract Pure Mathematics, whatever your math background.
We can vote for one or more chapters selected by you, the attendees! There will be enough time to read 3-4 pages,
The book is available from Princeton University Press, and can also be read online at the Internet Archive

Unless there are objections from "The Regulars", I am moving the time from 11 am (EDT) to 1 pm.
