Videography 101: Modern Hybrid Shooting
Details
New photographers hesitate the moment they switch their camera to video. The menus change, the settings feel unfamiliar, and the result often looks shaky, blurry, or flat. This workshop removes the confusion and teaches a simple, repeatable approach to shooting clean, modern video with the camera you already have.
In this hands-on session, we’ll walk through the essential concepts that actually matter — frame rates, shutter settings, sound, stabilization, and how to shoot usable sequences. No technical overwhelm. No theory for theory’s sake. Just practical skills that make your video look intentional and professional.
You’ll learn:
- Frame Rates That Matter – What to use and why
- Shutter Angle / Shutter Speed – Explained clearly, without jargon
- Audio Basics – Clean, clear sound that doesn’t ruin your footage
- Stabilization Techniques – How to hold and move the camera smoothly
- Shooting Sequences – Wide → Medium → Close → Detail → Action for easy edits
This workshop is hands-on. You’ll practice each concept with your own camera and walk away knowing how to record video confidently — not just hope it works.
