Simpson Spring Campground
Details
The campground is situated on the eastern edge of Utah's West Desert near the historic Simpson Springs station on the Pony Express National Historic Trail. Simpson Springs was the site of a significant Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) camp in the late 1930s and early 1940s, just prior to the establishment of the US Army Dugway Proving Grounds during World War II.
Hiking, picnicking, OHV riding, mountain biking, horseback riding, wildlife viewing, scenic backcountry byway, Pony Express National Historic Trail.
Potable water (seasonally) and accessible vault toilets; I'll be bringing water just in case. Campground is along the Pony Express National Historic Trail.
This is a remote BLM site with no electric or water hookups. https://www.blm.gov/visit/simpson-springs-campground#:~:text=Simpson%20Springs%20Campground%20is%20located%20on%20the,water**%20Five%20hydrants%20dispersed%20throughout%20the%20campground
