This group is for anyone who wants to develop their leadership potential, deepen their influence, and connect with others on the same journey of personal growth — all through the timeless principles of John C. Maxwell’s classic book, Developing the Leader Within You.

### Week 2 – The Definition of Leadership: Influence

Date: Tuesday, November 18 at 6:30PM Central Time Zone
This week, we’ll dive into John Maxwell’s core principle: leadership is influence, nothing more, nothing less. Together, we’ll explore what influence really means — how it’s earned, how it’s lost, and how it shapes every interaction in our personal and professional lives.
We’ll reflect on the people who have influenced us most, and the ways our own example, words, and consistency can begin to influence others for good.

Discussion prompts will include:

• What was your favorite quote from the chapter?
• What was your favorite story?
• What can I APPLY to my life?
• What can I CHANGE about myself?
• What can I TEACH to someone that may help them?

As we begin this journey into leadership, we’ll learn that titles don’t make leaders — people do. This week is all about discovering the quiet power of influence and how it begins with the person in the mirror.

What to Expect
📘 Participants are responsible for purchasing their own copy of Developing the Leader Within You by John C. Maxwell.
📝 A Mastermind Participant Guide will be provided to help structure our discussions.
📅 We’ll meet weekly on Tuesdays starting November 11, following this schedule:

• Nov 25 – The Key to Leadership: Priorities
• Dec 2 – The Foundation of Leadership: Character
• Dec 9 – The Ultimate Test of Leadership: Creating Positive Change
• Dec 16 – The Quickest Way to Gain Leadership: Problem-Solving

(We will plan to regroup after the holidays and finish the remaining 5 chapters.)

Come prepared to share your takeaways — a favorite quote, a story that stood out, or one way you’ll apply the lesson to your life. And if you don’t finish the chapter, come anyway! Growth happens in community, not perfection.

This first meeting is free of charge, and a facilitator fee of $10 per class will be charged for the remaining courses. All proceeds from this mastermind event will go toward devastating Hurricane Melissa relief in Jamaica. Please share this event with your friends!
