Pilot Mountain Winter Hike

Beginner to intermediate level

This is a short but challenging hike with about 350 feet elevation loss and gain on cold weather.
Starting on the SUMMIT UPPER PARKING LOT. Hiking part of the Grindstone trail to access the Ledge trail and completing a loop on the Pilot knob trail. 6 Miles round trip from car to car. We could also choose to do the hike in the opposite direction.

Recommended gear:
Sturdy hiking boots of trail shoes
Wool socks
Hoody or head cover
Light / heavy sweater
Wind jacket
Small day pack
Sun glasses
Trekking poles
Water and trail snacks
PLUS any other personal necessary items
