Parkrun is a collection of 5 Kilometre (3.1 mile) events for runners, walkers and volunteers that take place every Saturday morning at more than 2,000 locations in 23 countries across five continents.

Parkrun is designed for all levels of fitness and is a super supportive way to increase your activity levels. You can register with Parkrun via their app.

So…let’s walk!

First up we’ll try Platt Fields Park (South Manchester Parkrun).

It would be nice if we could walk as a group but, also, I appreciate some of us might like to ‘speed walk’. Whatever’s right for you, bring that energy.

I will be walking at a pace that matches the slowest walker in the group, so no pressure at all. Remember those MM vibes are all chill, remember to look at the sky and touch the grass!

We will meet at the park for around 8:45AM. As always - any questions just shout.

Things to know before joining Parkwalk

  • The Mayfield Mooch group is in no way affiliated to Parkrun.
  • Walks are undertaken at your own risk.
  • We will take pictures at events - if you do not wish to be included in any pictures please let one of the hosts (identifiable by their 'Hello, my name is' badge) know.
  • On-site toilet facilities are available.
