About us
MCAT Studying Group for Broke (but Determined) Students
I have taken the MCAT and successfully completed one year of medical school— I had to take a LOA, but I am going back!! Studying for the MCAT can feel isolating, overwhelming, and honestly… expensive. This group is for students who don’t have unlimited resources but still have big goals—and want to get there together.
We’re building a supportive, no-judgment community focused on:
• Accountability – show up, stay consistent, and keep each other on track
• Group thinking – work through tough concepts together and learn how others approach problems
• Knowledge sharing – swap study strategies, resources, and insights (because not everyone can afford everything)
• Emotional support – burnout, stress, self-doubt… we get it, and you don’t have to go through it alone
We’ll meet in person at local libraries and coffee shops for focused study sessions, group review, and occasional breakdowns of hard topics (looking at you, physics and biochem).
This isn’t about being perfect—it’s about showing up, doing the work, and having people in your corner who understand the grind.
If you’re motivated, supportive, and serious about improving—no matter where you’re starting from—you belong here.
