Come ride with us on Saturdays!
MCBC has planned a special event for this Saturday....an ice cream social following the ride. You are welcome to join us. Just RSVP here so that we have ice cream for you! There are routes for trail and road riders with the shortest routes starting at 8:30 am and the longer routes starting 8:00 am. So far we have 17 registered to attend on our private club email. Be sure to arrive 15 minutes before the start time.

Start location: Veterans’ Acres/Sterns Woods Parks, Walkup Road, Crystal Lake. The entrance and parking lot are off of Walkup Road—approximately 1/4 mile north of Rt. 176 near downtown Crystal Lake.
Time: 8:00 AM and 8:30 AM depending on the route you choose.
Important update for those who will be riding trail: Our trail ride members have chosen to start from the parking lot on Hillside Rd .3 miles west of Terra Cotta at 8:00 AM (arrive at 7:45) to avoid the hills of Stern's Woods. After your ride, go to the main lot on Walkup for the Ice Cream Social.

General notes for Saturdays:
Our start point varies and the new location is posted on the Friday before the ride. Please check this site on Saturday morning in case there is a rain cancelation. Our routes cover a large area from Union, IL and north to Delavan Lake, Lake Geneva and Silver Lake, WI and everything in between. They vary in length from 20 to 40 miles long and are at the shorter range in early season. Start times are prompt. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the posted time.
All of our routes have links to RideWithGPS and will be posted with each new announcement. The routes include a rest break in a park that has restroom access. Helmets are mandatory. Some of our routes have an optional restaurant stop mid-ride. Our start points have restroom access.
We usually get a group of about a dozen MCBC official club members on our Saturday rides, although they respond on our private club email and you will not see their responses on this site. For more information see our website: ***https://www.mchenrybicycleclub.org***

Our ride paces are:
A group cruises at 18-22 MPH to average 16-18.
B group cruises at 16-18 MPH to average 13-15.
C group cruises at 11-14 MPH to average 11-12.
