2024 was just the start. We went beyond expectations, brought the testing community closer than ever, and proved why MCR.TEST is the go-to event for QA professionals.

Last year, we hosted four amazing events around Manchester, building connections and sharing knowledge. It was productive but just the beginning.

Now, it’s time to level up.

We’re not giving everything away just yet 🤫 but 2025 is going to be next-level, and we’re kicking things off with a bang. Security Edition is all about diving into one of the toughest challenges in testing: keeping systems safe in a world that’s always changing.

### Event Format:

• Station-Based Activities: After a quick intro, explore stations freely. Mid-event check-in before food, with a wrap-up at the end.
• Team Competition: Teams earn points; top 2-3 win prizes (TBD).
• Laptop Required: Bring laptops with Docker installed for some activities.

### Activities:

1. Lock Picking – Test your physical security skills.
2. OWASP Juice Shop – Solve web vulnerability challenges (laptop-based).
3. Threat Modelling – Match threats to STRIDE categories.
4. Social Engineering Challenge – A secret challenge revealed on the night.
