This workshop offers participants the opportunity to deepen their understanding of the role of the community interpreter, to gain a solid foundation in the key strategies and techniques in consecutive interpreting, to be introduced to fundamentals of simultaneous interpreting, and to assess situations where mode switching is appropriate. The workshop provides a general but comprehensive overview of skills. Participants will learn effective practice and self-assessment techniques, which will enable them to improve their interpreting performance.
