Join us for a fun and scenic bike event as well as a chance to explore Philadelphia.

We did this event last year and had a great time. We also did touristy stuff the entire weekend. Philly Is very bikeable, with many designated biking lanes that have "guards" to keep cars out of the bike lanes. We felt safe biking all over the city.

If you live near a metro station, esp. Amtrak Union Starion, Carrolton, or Baltimore, consider taking a train up to Philly. That way you don’t need to worry about parking meters or 24-hour parking garage ($25-40).
Everything Is close to the station.

The plan is that we arrive Friday, check in at our lodgings, and hang out somewhere (or you arrive very early Saturday morning to be at the start line by 7:15 am).

On Saturday morning, we'll meet at the [TBD via group chat] and ride to the start lines. We’ll need to wait for our group to move to the start line and told to go.

We'll do the bike tour together (20 miles, car free streets), we may stop for a cafe breakfast item on the way. Afterwards, we’ll visit the bike festival and go back to our lodging to shower and change.

Option to go visit a local museum etc., with participants or on your own. [Details to be added]
Option to stay Saturday night ....

LODGING:
Some of us are staying at Apples Hostel, which has a bike storage room. This place has been booked by members before and is highly recommended.
