Pleasure Activism 3: Embodied Politics
Details
Come join us for an evening of community and embodied healing in our third, two-part event inspired by adrienne maree brown’s “Pleasure Activism: The Politics of Feeling Good”! This event includes a one-hour yoga session followed by a one-hour group discussion. Attendees may attend both parts, or join just for one part.
We will begin at 6:00 p.m. at Radiance Yoga for Gentle and Restorative Yoga by Candlelight ($25; advance registration required). You can rent a yoga mat for $5 at the studio, or bring your own. Doors close promptly at 6:00 p.m., so be sure to arrive early!
After the one-hour class ends at 7:00 p.m., we will go to a nearby meeting space (location TBD) to discuss how to listen to and honor the messages from our body and allow them to guide our activism. Attendees hoping to attend only the discussion should meet at Restorative Yoga, where we will walk as a group to our group discussion venue.
Join us for a chance to connect with your embodied self in a group of supportive comrades!
Please RSVP on Action Network to receive further updates on this event.
