About the Artists
Southside Shai | An explicitly place-based, anti-caste project from multidisciplinary artist and communicator Shai Huq
Acid Red Dress | DC duo playing electrified folk with blues influences and a lyrical take on sorrow, beauty, and power.
Melting Virgo | Music educator, performer, and environmental justice advocate Alice M-A Goldberg leads this project featuring ripping horn lines and communal singing. Be ready to sing along!
About the venue
Rhizome DC is a nonprofit community arts space located at 6950 Maple St NW, in the Takoma neighborhood of Washington DC. We are dedicated to promoting creativity as a force for personal empowerment and community engagement. We also strive to provide a home for non-mainstream programming in the DC area.
