Welcome to Meaningful connections Porto!
🎯 Our MISSION is to organise events with guided group activities and games where everyone can get to know each other on a deeper level and, through this shared experience, find whatever it is they are looking for - new friends, activities, fun, inspiration...
🤹♂️ All our EVENTS, held fully in English, have a structured program, led by experienced facilitator and made up of a variety of group activities and games that provide a safe space for getting to know like-minded people while respecting the individuality and needs of others.

🙋♀️ Pavla Kolarova, the main organizer of the events and founder of the community, has been working as a facilitator and event organizer since 2015. She has done dozens of international teambuildings, youth exchanges and trainings for kids, youth and adults from different countries. An expat herself, she has been living and working in Porto since April 2022 and knows how hard it can sometimes be to find like-minded souls and communities after moving to a new place (and working mostly remotely).

Our event Find Your People is the perfect get-together for both newcomers and locals!
Come to Jubilant's funky backyard, to hang out, join some fun games to get to know others, enjoy good food and drinks, while listening to a DJ. Organised in coop with @jamminjarevents and @jubilantcultural.🌿 This event is suitable for people who would like to meet new friends, but are not comfortable with going somewhere alone and not knowing anyone. Here, you'll get involved, connected from the start :) Join us, we're looking forward to meeting everyone!

- 17:00 - chill music, arrivals, garden hangout
- 18:00 - 19:30 - guided group activities and games to get to know others, hosted by Paja from @meaningful_porto (Portugal/Czechia) - group limit 25 participants (booking in advance recommended ;)
- 19:30 - dinner (burger+beer, incl. in the ticket price)
- 20:00 - 22:00 - DJ performance by @beatsbypdn (Chile)

Alright, here’s something a little different! For all of you who have fond memories of childhood and summer camps, running through the woods, playing outdoor games, and getting lost in adventure...
When we were organising Taskmaster in June, one of the game tasks was similar to the classic game of Hide and Seek ... and then couple participants said - hey, why not organize a meetup for a big game of Hide and Seek sometime?
Yes, why not! 😄
First round in August was successful, so here goes the second round.
🕵️♂️🔢🎯 How it's gonna go:
- 📍 We will meet at 16:00 at the park entrance of Entrada Boavista (https://maps.app.goo.gl/8r5nLc4fXuHwQhhF6) and then head to the park together to our spot.
- We will play very similar version of the traditional H&S, only with a twist - each player will get assigned a 3-digit number, to place visibly on them.
- Each game starts with selection of 1-2 seekers and a base "camp". Hiders get time to hide and then the main fun goal is to get back to the base before seeker finds you and calls out your number!
- We can play as many rounds as we want, switch the seekers ... let's see how big is the group and then we adjust :)
When we're done with hiding and seeking, we can stay in the park or head to the beach, for some sunset chill, refreshments and socialising 🍻
Who's invited: Anyone aged 18 or older and in good physical health. Also, if you want to try the role of seeker and your sight is not the best, don't forget your glasses/contact lenses :))
To bring: comfortable clothes + sport shoes, blanket for sitting on the ground, snacks, water 👕 FYI Since we will use small safety pins to put the number on you, feel free to bring some older shirt, to not have little holes in a new one.

Maximum capacity: 30 participants
Entrance fee: 3 EUR to help support our MC community and keep events like this going! Will be collected at the end of the games (in cash or via MBway/Revolut transfer).
Reserving your spot: Basic RSVP to this event. In case you won't be able to come in the end, change your RSVP response so someone else can get your spot.
