Spring and Renewal
“If we are not happy and joyous at this season, for what other season shall we wait and for what other time shall we look? – Baha’i Writings
The changing of seasons and especially the coming of spring gives hope for new ways of thinking. Coming from the darker, colder wintertime of sleep and dormancy, spring represents new growth and the beginning of brighter future days and months to come. We seek not only physically warmer times but also a spiritual renewal. The world civilization has gone through a lot in recent years. This has been a formidable time of isolation from Covid, the ongoing concerns of virus, flu and other health conditions, the continual threat of climate change and extremes of weather conditions that have upended many lives. And social scientists tell us, more than ever before, people are isolated due to “connecting” online, far out numbering interactions with family, friends, co-workers and other in-person social spaces. Compounded by various personal and family struggles, threats to our democracy and freedoms, we are exhausted and depleted. What better time to renew ourselves than the season of spring?
• How can we rejuvenate ourselves?
• What will give us renewed strength to carry on?
• Can we encourage and help others to take time to renew?
Please join us as we consider these questions and explore strategies for renewing our tired spirits. Our discussions will be guided by the sacred Writings of the Baha’i Faith, the most recent independent world religion and other sources of inspiration. All people are welcome!

"If people did not love one another, I really don't see what use there would be in having any spring." -Victor Hugo
