Finding Meaning in Life’s Difficulties
“My calamity is my providence, outwardly it is fire and vengeance, but inwardly it is light and mercy.” from the Baha’i Writings
Challenges, tests and difficulties can feel like punishments. We often feel like a victim of some unkind fate and personal suffering is inevitable. Why me? Why now? Feeling overwhelmed is a common expression. But during ordeals, without a doubt, self-reflection is part of the experience. We question ourselves, our values and our limits.
• Do we become stronger through tests and trials?
• How can we frame difficulties in a way that gives us hope and assurance?
These questions and others will be discussed together based on the guidance provided by various sources of inspiration and the Writings of the Baha’i Faith, the world’s most recent independent religion, a faith whose aim is to help unify humanity. All people are welcome!
