Spirituality in a Time of Great Divide

Details
Perhaps more than ever before (at least in modern history!), we seem to be existing in a moment where existing fractures in society are amplified rather than healed, messages of division and conflict even heightened to crack these fractures further. Yet at the same time, we’re also in a unique moment which has shown us how truly interconnected we all are, how much we need one another! How can we move out of living within the material divisions, artificially created, and work to build inclusive, connected, and empowering communities? How can a focus on spirituality help heal the fractures existent in present-day society?
How can we work together, not just with those we agree with, but particularly with those we disagree with, or who might be “different” than us? How might a spiritual perspective help us bridge what otherwise might divide us? How might a spiritual perspective shift how we think about and approach building unified communities for the peace and prosperity of everyone? What if we could see each other as noble, spiritual beings – learning to remove our prejudices and focus on division, and rather see the reflection of divine attributes that exist within all of us and connect humankind? How could that perspective help humanity move towards greater unity? What would that look like, and what would that require of each of us?
