Online Event | Families Cultivating Kindness

Details
Can cultivating kindness in families help create families and individuals that then strive to cultivate kindness in the world? Join us as we look at the intersection of family life & spirituality, focusing this week on what impact cultivating kindness within our families could have beyond just ourselves and begin to impact those around us.
As children we are often taught to be good, to be kind, to be honest. But what is the value of developing such virtues? And more than just being nice for children, how can we think of applying these as adults living in the “real” world? Are they just a set of abstract principles, or can they be tools to be practically applied to overcome the challenges in our daily lives? How might the development of spiritual virtues and their practical application help bring not just our families together but also help us contribute to the betterment of those around us? Moreover, what influence do our own words and actions (or lack thereof) have on our children? How might laying a spiritual foundation in our families of kindness and caring for others helps promote the advancement and happiness of us all?
Be part of a different kind of conversation – one that welcomes every perspective in a search for the truths that unite us all – as we discuss the spiritual perspective offered by the Bahá’í Teachings on the importance and the power of kindness.
Join us for a lively discussion this week as we continue discussing a series of topics exploring how we can develop a happier, more meaningful family life – and bring others along with us!
“Do not be content with showing friendship in words alone, let your heart burn with loving kindness for all who may cross your path.” – Bahá’í Teachings
