Online Event | It Takes a Spiritual Village

Details

Families come in all shapes and sizes. Beyond just parents, guardians, or caretakers, there are countless aunts, uncles, grandparents, coaches, friends, neighbors, teachers, and more who are contributing to the development of every child. Join us as we look at the intersection of family life & spirituality, focusing this week on how we all have a role to play in the raising of the next generation.

We often hear about the so-called “self-made” man or woman – but many believe that no one really makes it entirely on their own. Whether receiving help from other individuals along the way or from the education, job opportunities, etc. that society offers, it takes a village to raise a child. But we often think of this “village” as mainly providing the material means for success. But what if we considered the means for both material & spiritual prosperity as a measure of “success”? How can the diversity and range of perspectives found in each of our communities come together and help us create an environment that allows for the building of virtues and the strengthening of moral character in every child? What role can each of us play in raising the next generation to contribute to the betterment of the world?

Be part of a different kind of conversation – one that welcomes every perspective in a search for the truths that unite us all – as we discuss the spiritual perspective offered by the Bahá’í Teachings on contributing to the growth and development of all.

Join us for a lively discussion this week as we continue discussing a series of topics exploring how we can develop a happier, more meaningful family life – and bring others along with us!

“May you develop so that each one of you shall become imbued with all the virtues of the human world.” – Bahá’í Teachings
