A new year is always a time for reflection, an opportunity for us to look back and forward into 2026. Here, at “Meaningful Discussions”, we resolve that our conversations on Sunday mornings will be filled with greater meaning, with ideas that call each of us to reflect upon how we might grow as individuals and more effectively contribute to the life of society. It is in this spirit of human purpose that, today, we reflect together on what has meaning in our lives… Your thoughts on what matters, about what we need to discuss, together, will help to inform the conversations that will be planned in the coming year. Here are a few questions that might help to guide this consultation:

What matters most in your life, and in the life of society today?

How might our discussions be conducted in ways that have meaning for you?

Are there any conversations that you might like to help facilitate?

What matters in this life will be considered in light of the teachings of the Baha’i Faith, the most recent of the world’s independent religions. The vision of this Faith, announced by its Prophet-Founder, Baha’u’llah (Arabic for the “Glory of God”) is to unify all of humanity in one world civilization that gradually will come to live in material and spiritual peace and prosperity. In accordance with the Baha’i principle of unity, all views and each person – of every race, age, social class, ethnicity, gender, culture, and nationality – is welcome in this space…

“... the purpose for which mortal men have, from utter nothingness, stepped into the realm of being, is that they may work for the betterment of the world and live together in concord and harmony.” Baha’i Writings

Our first choice, of course, is to meet in person. Still, we’d rather have you attend — even if it is online — than not attend. So here is a zoom link: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/88158217522?pwd=cGxNeDR2eCthN0k2d2tlSk1sMnViQT09
