A MOMENT TO PAUSE (Free event online and in person)
Details
All men have been created to carry forward an ever-advancing civilization.-Bahá’u’lláh
We live in a time of extraordinary speed. In a rapidly changing world, global events and geopolitical shifts unfold almost daily. Social media keeps us constantly connected and constantly interrupted. Our attention is pulled in every direction, often reduced to short bursts, headlines, and sound bites. Work pressures, expectations, and uncertainties add another layer of intensity. Even when life appears full, many of us sense an underlying fatigue, anxiety, or spiritual restlessness.
In the midst of all this movement, something essential can quietly slip away: the space to pause, reflect, and orient our lives with intention.
The Bahá’í teachings invite us to see this moment not only as a time of turmoil, but also as a time of transition and awakening: a stage in humanity’s collective growth that calls for greater consciousness, inner discipline, and spiritual grounding. They remind us that without reflection/meditation, prayer, and purposeful action, the soul can become overshadowed by the noise of the world.
This gathering is an invitation to slow down, just for a moment. Together, through consultation on selected passages from the Bahá’í Writings, we will reflect on questions such as:
> How do we protect our spiritual and mental well-being in an overstimulated world?
> How can reflection, prayer, detachment, humility and willingness to learn help us gain clarity and purpose?
> And most importantly, are our actions aligned with the purpose of our creation?
In this space let’s try not to rush to an answer or fall into debate, but let us thoughtfully listen, reflect, and share insights. All are welcome, whether you come with thoughts, questions, or simply the desire to pause and reflect.
