Truth is important! When we’re unsure of what is true, it is more difficult to get out of bed, stand up straight, and take constructive action. When truth becomes certain, something we know for sure, in our hearts, we become inspired and motivated to act. But here’s the rub: More of us seem to live chronically in doubt, confused, less and less confident in our ability to arrive at certain and positive knowledge on our own. Confusion is paralyzing. Progress falters, and stops. The problem may be that we’re seeking truth on our own, by ourselves, and not in relationship with others. In this conversation, based on Teachings of the Baha’i Faith, we will explore the value of community in the investigation of truth as, together, we try our best to move toward a clearer understanding of what is true, receive wholehearted inspiration to act upon what we know and contribute to progress, in our lives and the life of society. In the spirit of this Faith, which calls for the unification of the whole of humankind within one world civilization, each point of view and all people – of every religion, culture, nationality, race, gender, age, class, and ethnicity – are welcome in this space …

“Whether concerned with analysing a specific problem, attaining higher degrees of understanding on a given issue, or exploring possible courses of action, consultation may be seen as collective search for truth.” Baha’i Writings
