Unity is a universal need, and dream, yet it remains one of humanity’s greatest challenges. Unity is discussed among nations, communities, families, even within ourselves, but the path toward achieving unity remains convoluted. It is here that the Teachings of the Baha’i Faith, the most recent of the world’s independent religions, become relevant. The Writings of the Faith make it clear that unity is not born from sentiment, slogans, or goodwill alone. Unity emerges, instead, from a mature understanding of justice. When the principle of justice comes to guide individual conduct and collective decision-making, unity will cease to be a dream and, perhaps for the first time in history, can become reality. Today, in this discussion, together we will explore the true meaning of justice in our lives and the life of society. In this conversation, each point of view and all people – of every culture, gender, nationality, class, age, race, and ethnicity – are welcome…

“The light of men is Justice. Quench it not with the contrary winds of oppression and tyranny. The purpose of justice is the appearance of unity among men.” Baha’i Writings
