There’s so much “service” in the world today, and so many today are seeking out ways of serving others, indeed, more than at any time in human history. It is wonderful to see! Yet, notwithstanding all this service and all those who serve, the world continues to disintegrate and decline, more and more rapidly. It may be time to wonder: To what extent do our efforts at service genuinely help others, and to what extent does our present conception of service actually help breathe new life into our communities and society? This conversation will open up our discussion to understanding service in new ways, from a fresh perspective, with the potential to enlarge our understanding of service based upon teachings of the Baha’i Faith, the most recent of the world’s independent religions. Members of the Faith, alongside millions of friends who work with Baha’is, are actively engaged in a process of learning how to build a new social order founded on the reality that all humankind is one, a single race, one extended family. It is in this spirit of unity that we offer these discussions – open to all – from every class, age, gender, culture, nationality, ethnicity, and race.

"Is not the object of every Revelation to effect a transformation in the whole character of mankind, a transformation that shall manifest itself both outwardly and inwardly, that shall affect both its inner life and external conditions?” Baha’i Teachings
