### Conversation Questions
- Where's the line between healthy self-regard and narcissism — and have you ever struggled to tell which side you were on?
- If narcissism often stems from childhood wounding (a former "brittle self"), does that change how much accountability we assign to a narcissist's behavior as an adult?
- Why do we find narcissists magnetic before we find them exhausting? What does that say about what we're drawn to?
- Is there a narcissistic pattern built into ambition itself — can you be exceptional at something without some degree of self-inflation?
- Have you ever called someone a narcissist when the more honest word was "selfish," "hurt," or "just different from me"? What made you reach for the bigger label?
- Social media rewards self-promotion algorithmically — are we cultivating a generation with more narcissistic traits, or just making existing traits more visible?
- If someone you love shows narcissistic patterns, where's the line between compassion for their wounds and protecting yourself from their impact?
- Does the rise of "self-diagnosed narcissists" on platforms like TikTok represent genuine insight, or a new kind of performance?
- Can a narcissist actually change — and if you believe they can't, what does that belief do to how you treat people who are struggling with it?
- Has the word "narcissist" become so overused that it's now doing the opposite of its intended job — hiding real abuse behind casual name-calling?
