About us

We're focused on mindful living at home and abroad. Our local events are often group mediation &/or Yoga sessions while our international adventures range from a broad variety of experiences all over the world. Many trips are to less fortunate ("3rd World Countries") to increase our privileged western awareness of how most of this world operates and exists.

Some trips are focused on compassion & have elements of giving back while others are more general and focus on great photography opportunities, unique off the path experiences, & small groups to increase our awareness of each-other and the "worlds" we visit.

“Travel makes one modest, you see what a tiny place you occupy in the world.”- Gustave Flaubert

“If you wish to travel far and fast, travel light. Take off all your envies, jealousies, unforgiveness, selfishness and fears.”- Cesare Pavese

"This human being is a guest house,
Every morning a new arrival.
A joy, a depression, a meanness,
Some momentary awareness comes
As an unexpected visitor.
Welcome and entertain them all,
Even if they are a crowd of sorrows
Who violently sweep your house
Of all it’s furniture.
Still treat each guest honorably.
She may be cleaning you out for some new delight.
The dark thought, the shame, the malice,
Meet them at the door laughing, And invite them in.
Be grateful for whoever comes,
Because each has been sent
As a guide from beyond." ~ Rumi

In Glacier Bay National Park, colossal rivers of ice spill from the Fairweather Range, creating a landscape alive with cracking ice and echoing roars. Humpback whales, sea otters, and puffins thrive in these nutrient-rich waters, while brown bears and mountain goats roam the rugged shoreline. Few places on earth combine such raw wilderness, cultural history, and wildlife encounters, making this one of Alaska’s most unforgettable voyages.

Certain topics may include navigation, astronomy, geology, & botany along with in-depth presentations that explore the fascinating life of the regions' whales, land mammals, birds, and other animals that call this magical realm home.

    Encounters with Whales
Whale watching in Alaska is nothing short of breathtaking, with chances to encounter the ocean’s most majestic giants in a pristine, untamed wilderness. From the deck of an expedition ship or the spray-kissed edge of a zodiac, every sighting is unforgettable in its own way.
