Overview
Think of the best boss you ever had. Chances are, they weren't the person with the biggest title. They were the one who made you want to show up, try harder, and take on challenges you didn't think you could handle. What did they do differently? And could you do the same for your own team?
Leadership Skills - Lead, Motivate & Inspire is a two-day, activity-based program built around that question. It's less about theory and more about discovering what strong leadership looks like in practice, and how to bring it out in yourself and the people you lead.
Start With the Big Question: What Do Leaders Actually Do?
Many people are promoted into management without anyone explaining what leading really involves. The course begins there, with your role, your responsibilities, and the difference between managing and leading. You'll explore the three essential roles every leader plays and look at what truly motivates people, including the "4motive" motivational model.
Then Look Through Your Team's Eyes
What do your people want from you? Not what you assume, but what they actually need. In the second part of the course, you'll learn how to see leadership from different perspectives, define what makes a true leader, and practice a simple but powerful habit: catching people doing something right.
Finally, Turn the Mirror on Yourself
Every leader has a style. The final module helps you find yours. You'll learn to balance team, task, and individual needs, understand what it takes to role model strong leadership, and walk away with the critical success factors that set great leaders apart.
What You'll Be Able to Do
By the end of the two days, you will be able to:

  • Describe the roles and responsibilities of a true leader
  • Explain how managing differs from leading
  • Name the three essential roles of a leader
  • Use the "4motive" model to understand what drives people
  • Identify what employees want from their leader
  • Recognize your preferred leadership style
  • Balance team, task, and individual functions
  • List the critical success factors of strong leadership

Who Should Join?
All people managers, and anyone in a leadership position. There are no formal prerequisites, so whether you're leading your first team or your fiftieth, you're welcome.
One Last Thought
Your team is watching how you lead, whether you realize it or not. Give them a leader worth following.
