About us
The group goal is to help people feel less alone. To know that there are people struggling with PTSD and other diagnoses. To talk with others who may understand what you are going through. To not feel gaslit by the medical community through having open conversations about their experiences and feel believed.
I have experienced medically based trauma resulting in PTSD, depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation, etc. Personally, I would like to listen to other people’s experiences in recovering from PTSD. I have only been able to connect with people who have military based trauma, and it’s difficult to relate.
I am not a psychologist or related professional. If there is anyone that would like to co-lead this group and facilitate discussions, that would be excellent.
I hope to meet weekly or twice a month, depending on interest.
