Medicine Wheel Connection Circle: Remembering our Resources
Details
This is a space to slow down, honor what is, and remember that you are not alone. We are resourced, loved, guided, and connected no matter what we’re navigating in these intense times.
As a nature-based ceremonial practitioner and musician, my intention is to support reconnection — to the abundance of relationships that exist all around us and within us, in both the seen and unseen worlds.
In this circle, I’ll be guiding an invocation (prayer) rooted in medicine wheel teachings, calling in the six directions, elements, seasons, archetypal energies, well-in-spirit ancestors, and allies as sources of support.
You’re invited to engage in whatever way feels true for you — no prior experience is needed. We all have well-in-spirit ancestors who were indigenous to their own lands, even if that connection is far back.
This space is inclusive of all religions and belief systems. You’re welcome to relate to what is shared here in whatever way aligns with your own personal connection to your Creator, your faith, or your understanding of the world.
This work is grounded in reverence and relationship to benevolence. I honor the many cultural lineages and teachings connected to the medicine wheel. The way I was taught is not offered as fixed or “right,” but as one relational pathway among many, an invitation to remember just how connected we truly are.
Here, in these ancient Appalachian Mountains that I hail from, I acknowledge the Cherokee Medicine Ancestors and the true history carried in this land. Within this space, I hold an intention of reciprocity, respect, and repair. Recognizing both the harm that has been done and choosing to walk forward with integrity and greater awareness. We are all children of our Creator, with soil and stars living in our bones, carrying the light and darkness of humanity. May we remember that our shadow work is always to own, love, and integrate, and that we carry our light with humility.
After the invocation, you’ll be gently guided to reflect on something you are currently moving through, and to notice what kinds of support may be available to you — within yourself, in the natural world, and in relationship with others.
There will be space for optional sharing, where you can be witnessed in a respectful and held environment. Listening is just as welcome as speaking.
We’ll close by releasing all those we called in, with gratitude for them — and for each of you.
