What we’re about
No meditation experience is needed to join our group. The group is for both beginners and experienced meditators alike. Our group is lead by female Buddhist Monks (Bhikkhunis) in the Theravada Tradition.
The purpose of the meet up is share time together in meditation and in exploring the teachings of the Buddha. All are welcome to join us in meditation and discussion of the Buddha’s teaching. A variety of Buddhist meditation is taught and practiced including mindfulness, loving kindness and insight meditation. These practices bring joy and wellbeing to our lives, improve our relationship with others and foster spiritual awakening.
We have two locations. Most of our public events are at our monastery in Penngrove, near Sonoma State. We also have some events at our hermitage near Jenner.
