The Buddha advised to set aside the day for doing religious observances on every lunar quarter (waxing quarter moon, full moon, waning quarter and new moon), roughly 4 per month. Most auspicious is the full moon. So we gather to observe the full moon on a weekend date close to it, keeping in mind the ancient theme of each moon and applying our thoughts towards spiritual growth.

Madin Poya is the name of the March full moon, which we will observe together on March 24th.
