Have you ever noticed how stress and tension can build up in the body without us even realising?
This relaxed online session is part of a short Meditation Discovery Series, offering gentle introductions to different meditation practices.
If your body has been feeling tight, restless, or tired lately, this session may help you slow down and reconnect with a sense of ease.
Rather than spending a long time talking about meditation, we’ll spend most of the session experiencing the practice together, so you can discover how meditation feels in your own body.

This Session: Body Awareness Meditation
In this session we will explore body awareness meditation, sometimes called a body scan.
This practice involves gently bringing attention to different parts of the body, noticing sensations with curiosity rather than trying to change anything.
Body awareness meditation can help:
• release physical tension
• calm the nervous system
• increase awareness of the body
• support relaxation and better sleep
This session is beginner friendly, so no previous experience with meditation is needed.

What to Expect
This will be a gentle and relaxing session designed to help you slow down and reconnect with your body.
During the session we will:
✔ Begin with a short introduction to body awareness meditation
✔ Take part in a guided body awareness practice
✔ Enjoy a calm and supportive space to relax and unwind
✔ Take a quiet moment at the end to settle and reflect
✔ Optional time for any questions
If you would like to, you may also wish to spend a minute or two writing down anything you noticed during the meditation in a notebook or journal.
You are welcome to join with your camera on or off — whatever feels most comfortable for you.

To help you feel comfortable during the session, you might like to have:
• A notebook or journal and pen
• A comfortable place to sit or lie down
• A blanket or warm layer so you stay cosy
• A cup of tea or water
This is simply a quiet space to pause, breathe, and gently reconnect with your body.
