Mid-Month Mindfulness is a free, gentle, welcoming monthly gathering led by Chris Walton. It is designed to help you pause, reconnect, and cultivate greater awareness in your everyday life. This one-hour session (with a bit of flexibility to go over if the conversation flows) offers a supportive space to explore mindfulness—no prior experience needed!
### What We'll Cover:
- Mindful Check-In We start by grounding ourselves with a brief arrival practice - How do you feel in this moment? Then, there is the opportunity for participants to share briefly (completely optional): Where are you already mindful in your life right now? What areas feel challenging?
- Introduction to Mindfulness A clear, accessible overview of what mindfulness really means—paying attention to the present moment on purpose, with curiosity and without judgment.
- Learning a Core Technique We'll practice and discuss one foundational mindfulness technique together—such as See Hear Feel, mindful breathing or body awareness —to give you a practical tool you can use immediately in daily life.
- Guided Meditation (15 minutes) I'll lead a gentle guided mindfulness meditation, focusing on present-moment awareness toward whatever arises. This is the heart of the session—a chance to experience mindfulness directly.
- Teaser for the 8-Week Course + Closing A short introduction to the upcoming 8-week mindfulness course, sharing key themes and techniques we'll dive deeper into (e.g., dealing with difficult emotions, cultivating compassion, integrating mindfulness into routines). We'll wrap up with reflections, Q&A, and simple take-home suggestions to keep the practice going.
