Merhaba dear All,
I am delighted to share that we will be hosting another delicious Turkish cooking class on April 27th, Saturday from 4 to 6 pm.
Recipes will include Green Lentil Soup and Eggplant Mousakka.
Soups have a special place in Turkish cuisine and the meals mostly start with them. This green lentil soup is one of my favorites; rich in fiber and protein, very delicious and easy to make.
If you've traveled in the Balkans, Greece, Turkey and the eastern Mediterranean, you're probably familiar with a delicious, layered eggplant and meat casserole called 'moussaka.' Moussaka is a dish served throughout this region in countries that were once part of the Ottoman empire.
The joy of this special dish is that you can prepare in advance and give a gentle reheat before serving – and you get to enjoy your company. Once cooked, mousakka freezes successfully too.
