March Monthly Meeting

This will be our regular monthly meeting. We'll hear from Carolina Tiger Rescue, a nonprofit wildcat sanctuary in Pittsboro, N.C., that offers public tours and field trips and is home to rescued tigers, lions, cougars, leopards, caracals, servals, bobcats and other wild animals.

The meeting will be in-person to see a presentation over Zoom by Katie Cannon, Education Director. Katie Cannon was born and raised in Raleigh and attended college at Appalachian State University. She earned her degree in special education and taught for 5.5 years in a self-contained classroom. In 2015, she changed careers by becoming the education director at Carolina Tiger Rescue. There she helps educate learners of all ages on the plight of wild cats in the wild and in captivity.
