Medtech Innovation Salon - CPH

MedTech is is an hugely challenging innovation environment. While we may have a winning technology in hand, this is only the start of a complex journey involving specialist manufacture, demonstration of patient value, regulatory approval, market access, reimbursement... all of which must somehow come together into a coherent holistic whole.

While the breadth and depth of topics to be addressed may make us feel very alone in our MedTech innovation journeys, there is a wealth of untapped knowledge, expertise, capability, and support within the wider Copenhagen MedTech community that can help us succeed.

MedTech Innovation Salons are a space for the MedTech community to come together and explore, challenge, and share solutions for the major barriers to successful MedTech innovation. Using the Knowledge Cafe framework for structured discussions on key MedTech Innovation challenges, we will help each other in forming high-value connections beyond those of a typical networking event whilst deepening the knowledge base and experience of all participants.

18.00 - 18.15 - Welcome and Introductions: Each participant briefly introduces themselves by stating their name, background, why they are interested in the event/community, and what they aim to get out of the event/community

18.15 - 18.20 - The Salon: Outline of the aim, orientation, and structure of the salon

18.20 - 18.25 - Question Outline: Short outline of the core topic/question for discussion in the session by an expert - question selected by the community to be relevant to their real experienced challenges

18.25 - 18.30 - Group Preparation and Split Out

18.30 - 18.50 - Group Discussion 1: First group discussion round - exploring the question and experiences/answers/solutions in groups of 4-6

18.50 - 19.10 - Group Discussion 2: Switch groups for a second group discussion round - exploring the question and experiences/answers/solutions in groups of 4-6

19.10 - 19.30 - Group Discussion 3: Switch groups for a third group discussion round - exploring the question and experiences/answers/solutions in groups of 4-6

19.30 - 19.55 - Collective Discussion and Takeaways: Everyone comes together for a collective discussion focused on identifying and refining key group discussion points, and on key outcomes/learnings. Each participant identifies one takeaway for them from the sessions. Learnings and takeaways captured and shared in written form as a follow-up to the event

19.55 - 20.00 - Experience/Challenge Share: Short discussion on any key challenges/experiences participants want to share for exploration in future events

20.00 - 21.00 - Thankyou and Social Time: Closing the main session, but allowing participants further time to socialise with food and drinks provided. Participants also invited to sign up to receive the written conclusions write up, engage with a virtual discussion space on the core topic, and future topic selection
