Demo Day - Defend the Realm with Rick!

Come learn 2 new game taught by Rick May!

Defend the realm and be a hero with two great games - Star Realms and Hero Realms. Both of these deck-builders have similar play styles but each theme is unique and epic.

Rick will be here demoing both Hero Realms and Star Realms. Copies will be available to attendees at a discount. While this event does not include Play Space, you are welcome to stay and play (see details below).

About the games:
HERO REALMS - now is a time for heroes! Become a hero by performing mighty actions and recruit powerful champions to your cause. Hero Realms combines the fun of deckbuilding games with the interactivity of trading card game-style combat. As you play, use gold to add new actions and champions to your deck. When played, those actions and champions generate powerful effects, give you additional gold, and damage your opponent and their champions. If you reduce your opponent’s health to zero, you win!

STAR REALMS is an award-winning spaceship combat deckbuilding game. The game offers all the thrills of traditional trading card game style combat, combined with the fun of a deckbuilding game. Play powerful ships, destroy enemy bases or blast your opponent directly on your way to victory! Join a coalition of space farers and establish your own new star realm. Another emerging star realm has its eyes on the same territory as you do though. Now you must quickly trade for the ships and bases you need to fight for the very existence of your star realm. Will you succeed in this all-or-nothing space race and emerge the victor?

Open Play Sunday
Along with the Demo event, there will be open play (RSVP not needed) on Sunday. We have a huge shelf of games ready for you to try. New to gaming? Don't worry, we're a friendly bunch and we'll have you relaxing with new friends and fun games in no time.

Due to us being a registered food establishment, please do not bring outside food or drinks. We have sodas (craft and common), tea (hot and cold), water (sparkling and flat), and coffee (leaded and unleaded) available. And we have a selection of beer, cider and wine. You'll also find a small menu of cafe items from chicken nuggets to pretzels.

Please note, there is a $5 (plus tax) per person charge to play (purchase at the store). You'll have access to a clean play space, a great game library of hundreds of games, and a fun evening! Memberships are available for flat-rate gaming - ask Jon at the event. You are welcome to bring your own favorite game, but please leave game bags in your vehicle - we have limited space.
