Co-Op Day - Learn Spirit Island

Details
Join Amanda and J as they teach a fun, cooperative game - meaning you're all working together for a common goal. The second in this series of co-op games is Spirit Island. Work together to defend your island home.
What's it about?
Spirit Island is a cooperative, settler-destruction strategy game and set in an alternate-history world. Players act as different spirits of the land, each with their own unique elemental powers, forced to defend their island home from colonizing invaders spreading blight and destruction. Players work with their fellow Spirits and the Dahan (local islanders) to increase their power and drive the invading colonists from their island in this deep and complex area-control game!
We'll be able to have up to 6 players. Amanda and J are great teachers and will have you enjoying yourself in no time. This is a medium-weight game so expect 2-3 hours of teaching and game play.
The Meeple Crew will also be on hand to help too. Here's a quick video on how to play Spirit Island if you want to get a quick glance before you come: https://youtu.be/aeNIvfi1Qrw
Spirit Island not your thing? Don't worry we have over 200 games for you to try - and we'll get you started on something fun you'll enjoy!
New to gaming? Don't worry, we're a friendly bunch and we'll have you relaxing with new friends and fun games in no time. If you have more than 3 guests, we ask that others in your group RSVP themselves in Meetup.
Due to us being a registered food establishment, please do not bring outside food or drinks. We have sodas (craft and common), tea (hot and cold), water (sparkling and flat), and coffee (leaded and unleaded) available. And we have a selection of beer, cider and wine. You'll also find a menu of cafe items from chicken nuggets to pizza.
Please note, there is a $5 (plus tax) per person charge to play, but you'll have access to a clean play space, a great game library of hundreds of games, and a fun time! Memberships are available for flat-rate gaming - ask Jon at the event. You are welcome to bring your own favorite game, but please leave game bags in your vehicle.
See you at the table!
