What is Azul?:
In Azul, players take on the role of artisans tasked with decorating the walls of the Royal Palace of Evora in Portugal. The gameplay is elegantly simple to learn but wonderfully deep. Each round, you will draft colorful resin tiles from shared "factory" markets in the center of the table. Your goal is to carefully fill the pattern lines on your player board to move those tiles over to your palace wall and score points for completing specific sets and columns. The catch? If you take too many tiles and cannot fit them into your pattern lines, they fall to the floor and cost you negative points! It is a brilliant, highly visual game of tactical drafting, where every tile you take is one your opponent might desperately need.
