Dominion with Dennis

Dominion is a classic deck building game that's won countless awards and is a true classic of modern board games.

What's it about?
You are a monarch, like your parents before you, a ruler of a small pleasant kingdom of rivers and evergreens. Unlike your parents, however, you have hopes… dreams! You want a bigger kingdom, more pleasant, with more rivers, and a wider variety of trees. You want a Dominion! In all directions lie fiefs, freeholds, and feodums. All are small bits of land, controlled by petty lords and verging on anarchy. You will bring civilization to these people, uniting them under your banner. But wait! It must be something in the air; several other monarchs have had the exact same idea. You must race to get as much of the unclaimed land as possible, fending them off along the way. To do this you will hire minions, construct buildings, spruce up your castle, and fill the coffers of your treasury. Your parents wouldn’t be proud, but your grandparents, on your mother’s side, would be delighted.

Dennis will be on hand all evening to teach and play through with you. New to deck-building? No worries! In this deck-building game, you'll have a deck of cards that contains resources that you'll build into better resources, with the hope of changing coppers to gold and building the best kingdom in the land. Dominion is a classic game and great opportunity to learn about deck-builders.

New to gaming? Don't worry, we're a friendly bunch and we'll have you relaxing with new friends and fun games in no time. If you have more than 3 guests, we ask that others in your group RSVP themselves in Meetup.

Due to us being a registered food establishment, please do not bring outside food or drinks. We have sodas (craft and common), tea (hot and cold), water (sparkling and flat), and coffee (leaded and unleaded) available. And we have a selection of beer, cider and wine. You'll also find a small menu of cafe items from chicken nuggets to pretzels.
We have a limited number of seats (20) in our new store. Don't worry if you don't make it to this event. We have other regularly scheduled events and you can always come during non-event times.

Please note, there is a $5 (plus tax) per person charge to play, but you'll have access to a clean play space, a great game library of hundreds of games, and a fun time! Memberships are available for flat-rate gaming - ask Jon at the event. You are welcome to bring your own favorite game, but please leave game bags in your vehicle - we have limited space.
