Meeples Indoors: Game Night at the Chicago Athletic Association

Details
Let’s kick off our first Saturday gathering with some relaxed fun in one of Chicago’s most charming spaces—the Game Room at the historic Chicago Athletic Association.
This vintage-style lounge has everything for a cozy afternoon indoors:
Bocce ball
Billiards (pool)
Shuffleboard
Foosball
Chess and other parlor games
Comfortable seating, soft lighting, and space to connect
Plus an optional menu with snacks and non-alcoholic beverages
I’ll bring a few card games, and you’re more than welcome to bring your own board or card game to share. Whether you’re playing, watching, or just chatting, this is all about connection and shared curiosity—indoors and out.
---
Finding the Game Room (It’s a little hidden!):
Enter the Chicago Athletic Association Hotel at 12 S Michigan Ave.
You can take the elevator to the 2nd floor and follow signs to the Game Room,
or
Turn right after entering, walk up the main stairs, and head toward the back of the building.
If you’re unsure, just ask the front desk—they’re friendly and used to pointing folks the right way.
---
There’s no strict schedule—just show up, say hi, and ease into whatever feels right. Whether you’re new to the group or just curious, we’d love for you to join us.
Bring a game, bring a friend, or just bring yourself.
Let’s start building something real—one great game night at a time.
