🎯 What’s Happening

Today we’re heading to the Ginza Holiday Festival at the Midwest Buddhist Temple for a day of taiko drumming, martial arts, Minyo dancing, craft vendors, and delicious festival food.
We’ll meet right at the North Gate at 11:00 AM, check in as a group, and head into the festival together.

12:00 PM – Ho Etsu Taiko (drumming)

12:30 PM – Choyokan Kendo (martial arts)

1:00 PM – MBT Minyo dancers

1:30 PM – Intermission (Chapel open for tours)

2:30 PM – Raffle Drawing

2:45 PM – Chicago Koto Group (traditional strings)

3:15 PM – MBT Taiko & Ho Etsu Taiko

Suggested donation: $5 per guest

Kids under 12: free (with adult)

Under 16: must be accompanied by an adult

Brown Line: Sedgwick Station → walk north ~2 blocks → left on Menomonee → temple on left

Red Line: Transfer at Fullerton to Brown Line toward downtown → Sedgwick Station → short walk

Buses: 22 (Clark), 36 (Broadway), 72 (North Ave), 151 (Sheridan) — exit at Sedgwick & Menomonee, walk west 1 block
