Meet a Mentor Machine Learning Study Group

Mob programming is a software development approach where the whole team works on the same thing, at the same time, in the same space, and at the same computer. We do this with Machine Learning problems every week we improve our understanding of the problem and the accuracy of our model session after session.

Before coming, please check our github project and get familiar with what we have done so far.
Make sure you rsvp at the latest, before midday on the day of the session, otherwise security may not let you in.

######## Long Version ########

There are many great courses on machine learning, but we've found that there is a gap between completing a course and having the practical experience to deploy it on your own projects. This is the problem that our study group exists to solve. Here we learn together through practice and tackle a Machine Learning problem. We are relaunching the group and would like to invite anyone with an interest in machine learning to join

• Who is it for?
  People who already have some knowledge in Machine Learning, did a course or at least practised for a month (we recommend https://machinelearningmastery.com which we come back to frequently and is focused on applying ML/DL more than understanding maths theory) and want to practice on a project. We don’t recommend complete beginners with no experience to join just yet.

• What is it?
  We work together to solve a ML problem, and improve our understanding of the problem and the accuracy of our model session after session, using mob programming.
  Sessions will happen in London from 6 to 8pm on Wednesdays.
  Every couples of months we choose a new problem.

• Onboarding
  You can join the group at any time.
  we commit our work on a github repository, document everything we do on Slack and in the github README, and invite you to get up to date before coming.
  We spend the first 15 min of every session reintroducing the project and our progress.
