Explore 900 plus years of history in this amazing building and museum.

There has been a massive project to reinstate the use of the castle as a palace and careful rebuilding and updating, too.
The work done can be seen on Channel 4, August
24th at 7.30 pm - a documentary about the work of the last 7 years on the castle.

This is an open day as part of Heritage Open Days.
Entry is free between 10 am and 4 pm. I expect this will mean it's busy inside, but it's a great opportunity to see the work done to recreate the original medieval Palace, built following William the Conqueror's victory - plus new and old exhibits.

I'm suggesting we meet for coffee first, then walk to the castle together and get there as early as possible ( assuming this will be a very busy venue!).
