You may have walked past the curved facade on Midosuji without knowing what is behind it. This Saturday, let's explore Osaka Gas Building during OPEN HOUSE OSAKA 2026 and share the details we would usually miss.
The official program lists the rooftop, part of the historic Gas Building restaurant, and the north building's 60th-anniversary exhibition. The restaurant visit is for viewing. These visits require no advance registration, but entry and routes remain subject to staff instructions and crowd controls. Access to every area is not guaranteed. The wood-stand workshop is an optional extra with limited, first-come supplies.
SATURDAY 24 OCTOBER 2026 · JST
10:00 — Meet Hardik on the public pavement beside the Midosuji-facing main entrance of Osaka Gas Building, 4-1-2 Hiranomachi, Chuo-ku, Osaka. Keep the entrance clear.
10:10 — Follow the official visitor route and explore in small clusters.
11:00 — Regroup outside the main entrance, compare discoveries and choose the next open area.
12:00 — Finish the main visit. An optional nearby break may follow.
Curious people, solo visitors and first-timers are welcome. No architecture knowledge is needed. English and Japanese are welcome; official explanations may be in Japanese. This is an independent MeetIN social visit. We have no reserved guided session.
Expect queues, standing and movement between floors. The accessible rooftop route is unconfirmed; contact the host beforehand if stairs or heights are difficult. Skipping that section is fine. Toilets are listed as available to participants. Bring a charged phone and earphones for the optional QR audio guide.
Most of the visit is indoors. Bring rain protection for the approach; we may omit the rooftop in unsuitable conditions. Follow access and photography signs. No tripods, model shoots or live streaming. Stay out of offices and closed areas. Ask before photographing participants.
Late arrivals should message Hardik via Meetup and use the 11:00 exterior regroup point. Tell the host before leaving early. Check this page before departure for changes.

御堂筋の丸みを帯びた建物。その前を通ったことはあっても、中は知らないかもしれません。土曜日は「イケフェス大阪2026」の特別公開で大阪ガスビルを訪れ、普段は見過ごす発見を分かち合いましょう。
公式プログラムには、屋上、歴史あるガスビル食堂の一部、北館竣工60周年の展示が掲載されています。食堂は見学する企画です。これらは事前申込不要ですが、入場や順路は現場の指示と混雑状況に従います。すべての場所への入場は保証されません。木製スタンドづくりは当日先着・数量限定のため、参加できれば追加で楽しむものとします。
2026年10月24日（土）・日本時間
10:00 — 大阪ガスビルの御堂筋側正面入口脇、公道の歩道でHardikと集合。住所：大阪市中央区平野町4-1-2。入口をふさがないでください。
10:10 — 公式の順路に従い、少人数で見学。
11:00 — 正面入口の屋外で再集合。発見を話し、次の公開エリアを相談。
12:00 — 主な見学を終了。その後の近隣での休憩は希望者のみです。
建築の知識は不要。一人参加・初参加も歓迎です。日本語でも英語でも大丈夫ですが、施設の解説は日本語の場合があります。これはMeetINが自主的に集まる見学・交流です。予約済みのガイド企画はありません。
待ち時間、立ち時間、階の移動があります。屋上までの段差のないルートは未確認です。階段や高所が難しい方は事前にご相談ください。その部分を省くこともできます。参加者用トイレの利用可と案内されています。QR音声ガイドを使いたい方は、充電したスマートフォンとイヤホンをご用意ください。
主に屋内ですが、集合までの道と屋上は屋外です。雨具を持参し、状況により屋上は省きます。立入・撮影ルールを守り、三脚、モデル撮影、ライブ配信は行わないでください。執務室や非公開エリアには入らず、人を撮影する前には確認を。
