Depart: Sunday, 7:30 AM – Meet at **Studio City (**Aroma Coffee & Tea Co 4360 Tujunga Ave #5, Studio City, CA 91604 ) for roll call & coffee
Return: Saturday evening (~8:00–10:00 PM), depending on traffic
Route: Los Angeles → Redding → Portland → Eastsound, Orcas Island, WA → Seattle (optional stop) → back to LA
Distance: ~2,400 miles round trip
Pace: Relaxed, convoy-style, scenic and safe
Who’s welcome: RVs, campervans, and car campers — solo travelers & first-timers encouraged!

## 🌍 Trip Overview

This 7-day road adventure celebrates freedom, friendship, and living simply with nature.
We’ll convoy up the West Coast, share meals, explore small towns, and ring in Christmas week under the stars at Orcas Island — one of the most peaceful corners of the Pacific Northwest.

## 🗓️ Itinerary Overview

Day 1 – Sun, Dec 21: Los Angeles → Redding (~9 hrs)

• 7:30 AM meetup, safety check, and departure
• Stops: Sacramento lunch break
• Overnight: Redding RV park (showers & power hookups)

Day 2 – Mon, Dec 22: Redding → Portland (~6 hrs)

• Scenic drive through Mt. Shasta and Ashland
• Explore downtown Portland food pods & Powell’s Books
• Overnight: Portland RV/campground

Day 3 – Tue, Dec 23: Portland → Anacortes → Orcas Island

• Early ferry from Anacortes to Orcas
• Afternoon free time: Eastsound village walk, shoreline picnic
• Evening: Campfire circle & gratitude sharing
• Overnight: Orcas Island campground (group sites)

Day 4 – Wed, Dec 24 (Christmas Eve): Orcas Island

• Optional morning hike (Turtleback Mountain or Moran State Park)
• Afternoon cooking & decorating camp area
• Evening: Candlelight gathering, music, and community dinner

Day 5 – Thu, Dec 25 (Christmas Day):

• Morning “Gift of Nature” walk — share blessings & hot cocoa
• Optional ferry ride around the San Juans
• Evening: Potluck dinner under the stars

Day 6 – Fri, Dec 26: Orcas → Seattle (~2 hrs + ferry)

• Visit Pike Place, coffee tasting, light sightseeing
• Begin drive back south
• Overnight: Southern Oregon rest stop / optional hotel

Day 7 – Sat, Dec 27: Return to Los Angeles

• Group brunch stop en route
• Arrival ~8:00–10:00 PM

• Gas: $250–$400 per vehicle (shared = cheaper!)
• Camp/RV sites: ~$25–$50 per person per night
• Ferry: $50–$110 per vehicle + ~$15 per passenger
• Food: Bring groceries; plan $20–$40/day if eating out

• Warm layers (temps 30–55°F), gloves, beanie
