Six Flags New Orleans AUTHORIZED Full Day Photo Tour- 2PM-9PM

Details
Come and Take an AUTHORIZED Grand Tour of Six Flags New Orleans that will take you through all of the preserved and demolished areas of the park ending the night with a fully lit up Ferris Wheel!
People all over the world have marveled at the beauty of Six Flags New Orleans as an abandoned location that was destroyed by hurricane Katrina nearly 20 years ago.
As the Chief Archival Photographer for the site since 2023, Jason Lanier is the only authorized photographer to shoot and conduct tours and workshops in the park in conjunction with the E. Ross Studios School of Film and Televsion.
The park is in the process of undergoing demolition but there are also MANY areas that are being preserved! Over the last 6 months Jason has taken a chainsaw to the wild areas of the park to carve out ALL NEW pathways to explore the vast wilderness and lakeshore that were previously closed off to the public. Take this opportunity to see this legendary space as never BEFORE! Below is a course description of what you can expect on your photo tour to this amazing place.
Tour Start Time: 2pm- Front Entrance and Main Street
We will start at the iconic front gates and entrance to the park where you will be able to see and explore:
*Ticket Booths
*Administration Buildings
*Season Pass Processing
*Security Offices
*Turnstyles
*Main Steet
*Auditorium
*Main Street Storefronts
*Park Bank Vault
The feeling to be able to explore and capture the beauty of this dystopian paradise and wait for the perfect timing or lighting is incredible.
Join jason as he’ll take you to all of the accessible areas of the park (no active demolition areas) so you can experience this feeling for yourself!
The tour will also include taking attendees into the buildings that are safe to enter to capture the interiors of these buildings and rides to see what happens to an amusement park when it’s destroyed by a hurricane and left to nature for 20 years.
4PM- Rides and Attractions on the FRONT Side of Six Flags
As the tour continues we get into one of Jason's favorite areas of the park, the grand swings (Carousel). This is by far one of the most picturesque areas of the park with sweeping views of the lakefront that take your views clear over to the famous "Big Easy" Ferris Wheel. Key areas of this part of the tour include:
*Carousel
*Gazebo
*Skycoaster
*Kiddieland Rides and Area
*Pirate Ship
*Ozarka Log Ride
*Burned out Excavator
*Spongebob Virtual Reality. Ride
6PM- Rides and Attractions on the BACK Side of Six Flags
Venture with Jason into the back side of the park where you can explore a mix of past and present. This is the area of the park where the majority of the demolition has taken place, turning it into something straight out of an apocalyptic movie. Even in areas where the roller coasters have largely been removed, there are still haunting images of the roller coaster cars, bumper cars, tracks, and more strewn all over the landscape, making for unforgettable imagery. And in the backdrop of all of these areas is the still fully preserved "Big Easy" Ferris Wheel, casting her shadow over the entire area. There is no other place in the world to see something like this and will never be seen again. Key areas include:
*Ferris Wheel
*Mega Zeph tracks and remnants
*Jester tracks, poles, cars and carriage house
*Zydeco Scream cars, tracks, and walkways
*Bumper cars sitting across from their original bumper car house
*Games Spiral
*Employee Warehouse
*Merchandise Stockhouse
*Jokers Revenge Car Ride
*Batman Walkways and Signage
*Skycoaster Backside and Wilderness
The backside of the park is the perfect place to be as Jason will share some of his favorite places to capture the sunset and more.
8PM- Lighting Up the FERRIS WHEEL
The night will end in grand fashion as Jason and his team will light up the Big Easy Ferris Wheel to give her one more opportunity to shine and share her beauty at night. Jason will help any photographer who doesn't know how to capture night photography with their settings and their camera to ensure they get a shot they will never forget. You will have options to shoot this from multiple angles from around the park as Jason has landscaped the park perfectly for moments like this!
The night shoot at the Ferris Wheel will take your bteath away and leave you with a smile that won't leave your face for quite some time as you will get to see and capture something that very few people have. Jason will take pics of all attendees at this time for them to take home and cherish forever.
9pm- Tour Ends
